Ricoh MPC3004 occasionally paper jams (code 018) - the text is squeeze or the page is folded in a "Z". Most of the pages that will come out have the text squeezed like in the attachment. The start margin of the print starts too late, after 1 cm it squeezes the text and ends correctly. Sensors and rollers cleaned. I do not have much experience in Ricoh, but in Canon such a fault was most often caused by a hard-working registration sensor, less often by the clutch.

Re: Ricoh MPC3004 text is squeezed
You might need to strip the fuser and clean the entrance blade.
Prints look a bit faded from the scanned image too could need new development unit
Or a good clean of the optics and a calibration

Re: Ricoh MPC3004 text is squeezed
I would say that something is causing the paper to be moving too slow when it initially gets to the PTR. most likely cause is the transport roller on the first paper feed unit or the drive for said roller. Once the trail edge of the paper leaves that roller it comes up to speed and the print is no longer squeezed.Comment

When you comment on the "jam in Z" between what areas is the paper located at that moment? If it is before or during the admission of the folio into the Fuser Unit, it could be a problem with the Registration Rollers. I would try changing the orientation of the paper and check if the fold returns to the same position."ALL WILL BE WELL" The battle cry that most inspires me to follow, from the DC's Comic character that I admire the most. And I feel satisfied with being better every day, and with using Gnu-Linux as my usual Operating System.Apologies for my English, it's not my mother tongue and I'm helping the translator.Comment

Before this incident, did the device suffer from any Fusion Unit issues?

Problem solved. Transfer belt was working hard. There was too much waste toner in cleaning module. Client said that 1 week before toner was overflow inside waste toner box. They clean box but toner was stuck in cleaning module of transfer belt. Now working fine.Comment

I'd check the recycling for the PCDU's, just in case they are also blocked. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.Comment
