You guys....geez. Be greatful that the design is NOT like the web assemblies for Panasonic DP-80xx or C-213's. At least you dont have the cheap little solenoid and actuator arm on the front side to deal with upon changing web and roller.

Have you changed a web on one of these???
I don't work on Panasonic, but I can't imagine they are much worse.
I put the snakeskin oil roller in all my machines like df3036 posted back at the beginning of this thread - works great, takes 2 minutes to change
Yes, but they've only done about 20,000 without a problem. Will see if the hot roller does its life. I think the pressure roller cleaner on the pressure roller like in the prev. models is enough.
All I can say is that the fusing unit usually runs "2 + X" pm cycles (>320k). If I have to choose to keep the web installed OR need to rebuilt the fuser at every PM cycle, I'd prefer to keep the web.
Using the SnakeSkin roller gets me about the same results as with the web as far as life. The exception is the cleaning roller actually gets dirty again - with the web they were almost completely clean when the hot roller finally failed, without it they build up as bad as in the old series machines. Not a problem, though - just normal buildup.
I'd be interested to see how the life is running dry, too.
what we have done to fix this problem with the toner/mag roller was to degrade the machine to a ld245. We swap out the toner motor and developer, use the b0799640 developer and flag the machine so when the customer orders toner, they get the ld245 toner. Quality problems gone.

Do you do this to all MP 4000's. When setting up new machines you change the toner motor, are there any settings you change, does it last
160k? Any side effects?
