    [Misc] scan to server issue

    Hello, I require assistance.

    We currently possess two Ricoh 6054 copiers. One unit has been delivered to our headquarters (HQ), while the other has been delivered to our site office. As for the Ricoh 6054 at our HQ, the process of transferring the address book was completed successfully, and we have confirmed that scanning to the server is functioning correctly.

    However, at the site office, we decided to replace the MP5002 with the Ricoh 6054. The MP5002 also had the capability to scan to the server from the remote office to the HQ. Prior to the replacement, this scanning function was working without any issues. However, after we replaced the MP5002 with the Ricoh MP6054 and imported the address book, we encountered an issue. The MP6054 does not appear to be able to scan to the server anymore. It consistently displays an error message stating that the connection with the destination has failed and advises us to check the settings. The error message suggests that

    "the entered path name might be incorrect or that firewall and security settings could be blocking network connectivity."

      If the office is in a different location and the scanning is through a WAN network and not a Conventional LAN, the problem could be in the DNS that the device has.

        Hi Luca well same issue with connectivity problem.

        I checked the firmware and that unit which is at the hq has
        engine: 1.20.03
        opepanel 1.07

        compared to the one at remote office.
        engine 1.19.03
        opepanel 1.04

        Does it have any effect with it?

          And the Printer and Scanner version?
          I consider that the data you have provided is more relevant than the Engine, unless it is the version of a Package.

            What method was used to "imported the address book"?

            In the interface settings the default gateway needs to be the WAN router. A server at the headquarters needs to be one of the DNS .

              both machine has the same firmware for print and scan.

              Printer = 1.12
              scanner = 1.10
