well the MFP does access the internet. some so you can find user guides. and others so you can send emails, download apps and etc. so only makes sense someone sooner or later would gain access. but yeah i totally agree..

i would change the wifi password. this would lock out any outside sources that could be accessing the system. i would start there. i had a customer one time. and i believe someone was connected to their network, outside of their office. dont know if they were aware of it or not. but changing the password locked whoever it was out.

Only a temporary solution against a hacker. They can use a sniffer and eventually crack the new password. The AP wireless MAC filter is much more dependable. If a device's MAC is not on the allowed list, it cannot connect.

So, I looked at my history.

We wound up changing the old model Sharp MX-5141N (No longer supported) to a new model MX-5071.

We put "Webdings Mozzilla HTTP print misc output":

          Here is my history:
Webdings Mozzilla HTTP print misc output - Reflash firmware, problem non replicable
Same issue - New HDD and SD/ Reflash Firm, problem non replicable. Updated all drivers to latest driver version, all pcs. Changed to PS driver.
Same issue - Isolated to accounting web application. Intermittent. End user will update web application.
Call back - Replaced with newer model.

After this, her prints from the same web application came out normal, and no repeated issues.

            Problem came back this morning.
Customers IT will try to block the 75.80.21.237 ip address on their router.

A hacker will just start using a different public IP address. It might be better to block inbound port 9100.
