    MPC307

I have an MPC307 that would not shut down, I waited 15 minutes so I unplugged the machine and when I restarted the machine it said load GW animation. I tried to upgrade the firmware using the RFUT(I do not have access to to the Ricoh website to download firmware) but it hung up at 88% and is stuck in on a "please wait" screen. I tried swapping op panels but the new one says waiting for firmware and I am afraid I will brick another op panel if I use the RFUT. Does anyone have any suggestions or be willing to send me firmware that I can put on an SD card? Thanks in advance.

Someone will have to send you the animation romdata, just the individual firmware file. Is this a machine you just got or your customers machine you service?

Put the screen in recovery mode and update the entire firmware package with an SD

The RFUT won't work if the device is not booting up & coming to a ready state.

Very odd but had a trade in MPC307 come in this morning with very similar fault screen showing preparing to update firmware
solution was to install older version of Engine and System firmware (2018) via sd card
Then run erase all in admin once finished
updated machine via RFUT Tool to latest version and all working

Problem solved. I disconnected the hard drive and then the machine allowed me to install firmware with the SD card.
