    mp 6000 sr790

I'm having a lot of fun with a sr790 attached to the wonderfull mp6000 (2 machines)

The problem is when you ask for staple mode it turns the corner over on the rear side and then after say 2 sets will send the set through at an angle jamming the exit.

I've had the lastest firmware done on the finisher and its done nothing.

Today i spent 5 hours stripping the finisher and fitting a part the customer had broken and rebuilding this fu**ing peice of sh*t.

The copier/finishers are both brand new out of the box with 20k on the clock. Any ideas apart from finding the designer of this crap and force feeding it to him bit by fu**ing bit.

1st engineer said it was damp paper but a fresh realm of paper put that idea to bed as it was still crap.

I know this might sound like a daft question, however the SR790 doesn't fit on the Martini. Are you sure the finisher model number is correct?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

            Just a few ideas

Run the job with the sorter door open, is the corner flipped before it is stapled or only once the job has exited. I have had issues with inverter that guides paper to staple area. The usual sorter entrance guide and sometimes if it has a punch unit can cause issues.. good luck

Tried that, the paper is flat as its comes into the staple tray 2(exit belt)and then when it comes out the exit its folded - not a crease mark but just folded over. Probably 2 sheets out of the set

I've looked at the paper path and i cant see anything in there to make the paper turn over.

Oh and theres no hole punch either.

              I'll swap it for a 1224

                    More ideas!

Hard to say, I would guess that its the staple unit causing the crazy fold over, what does it do on A3 paper with same settings.....using A3 may make it easier to identify. I have had something similar on another sorter where the client had really dodgy paper stock. Check the brackets where the paper lands before it get stapled, sometimes they get deformed and if you look at the position of the paper before it is stapled you may find a few sheet are not flush against the rest of the stack to be stapled.. My suggestions are all a long shot good luck
