I got a Ricoh 4002SP. When I turn it on, it shows the Please Wait screen for ever!
Before that happens:
Formatted the HDD using SP Mode, restarted and all was fine.
the next day I came to office and turned it on, it got stuck on the Please Wait screen.
Afterwards:
I tried turning it on with the HDD removed, didn't work.
Tried installing firmware, so formatted the SD Card as FAT and put the firmware files on the romdata folder, didn't install firmware and still same screen.
Formatted the HDD as FAT32 and guess what, didn't change anything.
Can't think of anything else to try and that machine is critical to my work. So any help is greatly appreciated.
one other thing to note, is the night after the SP Mode HDD format (before problem occurs), I turned the heater off accidentally and the environment was very cold for a few hours. No idea if it has anything with the problem, only thought is may be worth telling.
Also waited for a few hours and that screen didn't disappear.
is there any key combination etc to try, to get a log, diagnostic or maybe a reset, as I can't enter SP Mode on that screen.
