    SC569-02 Pro 8300

    Hi All

I am reaching out to any Ricoh production tech that might have faced this issue on the Pro 8300 and what they have done to rectify the issue.

Firstly, when you turn the machine on, the pressure roller lift motor rotates the cam clockwise and releases it during warm up. when the device gets into ready mode and we want to print anything, the motor rotates the cam counterclockwise emitting SC569-02.

    The Manual states:

    SC569-01, 02, 04
    Error Name
 569-01: Pressure Roller Lift Error: HP Detection Failure (Three Times)
 569-02: Pressure Roller Lift Error: Contact Failure
 569-04: Pressure Roller Lift Error: Contact Failure: Pressure 3/4
    Pattern
    D
    Error Condition
 569-01: Pressure roller HP could not be detected for three times.
     569-02: Pressure control failed.
     569-04: Pressure control failed (Pressure 3 and 4)
    Major Cause
 Pressure roller cam HP sensor (SEN60) assembly fault, or not connected properly.
 Pressure roller cam HP sensor (SEN60) is defective.
 Pressure release unit is damaged.
 Pressure roller lift motor (BLM11) is defective.
    Solution
    * If fusing SC occurs during inspection, execute "Fusing SC Reset" (SP5-810-001) in SP mode every
time SC occurs, and then turn the main power OFF and ON.
    1. Check the pressure roller cam HP sensor assembly. Make sure it is connected properly.
    2. Check the pressure release unit.
    Output Check
     SP5805-069: Fusing Pressue Release Motor(HP)
     SP5805-070: Fusing Pressue Release Motor(Up)
Repair the unit as needed, turn the power OFF and ON, and then check if the SC recurs.
    3. Replace the pressure roller cam HP sensor (SEN60).
    4. Replace the pressure roller lift motor (BLM11)

We have done everything as suggested in the manual. In fact I ordered in the pressure roller lift motor as well.

    1. Check the pressure roller cam HP sensor assembly. Make sure it is connected properly. (Connection is proper)
    Output Check
 SP5805-069: Fusing Pressue Release Motor(HP) (normal operation)
 SP5805-070: Fusing Pressue Release Motor(Up) (normal operation)
Repair the unit as needed, turn the power OFF and ON, and then check if the SC recurs. Have opened the entire fuser and reassembled)
    3. Replace the pressure roller cam HP sensor (SEN60). (Swapped)
    4. Replace the pressure roller lift motor (BLM11) (Replaced)

do let me know how we can resolve this one

Try replacing the pressure roller HP sensor cable. usually the 3 pin sensor connector cable bad contact.

There's an RTB I can't put my hands on currently that refers to the welded joints on the pressure roller half of the fuser crack, the only fix is to replace the entire fuser.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Got this from Goose Guide, might be worth a try.

        Issue:
SC569-02 (Pressure Roller Lift Error: Contact Failure)
        Resolution:
        1. Format the HDD
        2. Reload the paper catalog
        3. Set back all paper trays from A4 to the correct paper entry
