can anybody give me the brief instructions on how to do this,( my laptop with all manuals stopped workin this afternoon and I'm in the customer 1st thing, thanx lads
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
on the client PC create a shared folder, off the firewall or remove any anti spyware software. on the machine system settings, admin tools, address book, create a user, on its folder put the path of the shared folder, then test the connection...
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

After a lot of fannying around withe setup on the mfp, I could not find the folder tab(to enter path, username etc). I rang Ricoh, they eventually got back to me saying you can't scan to folder on 2045, you can on 2045e, my machine is 2045 so it's either scan to email or scanrouter shite

I don't know if you can scan to folder using a 2045 but I'll try to find out in the morning. I know that are problems even on 2045e and It's available a custom firmware to fix this problem.
Sorry for the delayed answer. Unfortunately the 2035 has no scan to folder capability as far as I know. Only the "e" enhanced version is able to perform this feature.
How you can check. Access User tools - go to address book management and try to create a new program. On display should be multiple tabs. If one of them is "Folder" your machine is capable to do it....but you find already the answer because I saw your other post
