RICOH mp1600le showing supplying toner

HI Friends,
Im familiar much to Konicas but one of my friend,s machine afficio mp1600le is showing "supplying toner" message only,while toner bottle is full.There is no excessive toner spillage observed,also it seems bottle is not rotating even asked forcibly.I tried to increase the toner rotation frequency also.no result.clossing front door open,close helpd for some time,but next day again same.machine run for 65000 copies.nothing replaced.does replacement of developer help this? please advice........ thanks

something to check is that the inner cap off the old toner is not still inside the toner housing, stopping the toner from adding. This can happen sometimes, when the old toner bottle is removed.

I tried that and also.Toner cartridge comes here with a black cap.its not there.

If the machine's on 65k I'm more than willing to bet the development unit drive gears have worn out causing the augers in the bottom of the unit not to turn. Take the PCU out, split the top from the bottom and examine the white and black gear that the mag roller meshes against, I'm more than willing to bet one of those has been chewed up. Oh, and while you're at it, replace the PCU components and developer, they're over life.
