    LD040/LD050 Cleaning Web

PM cycle for the cleaning web is 160K, the Web near end setting is set to 92%. I have been changing this setting to 98%, but customers call when there is about 155k, leaving quite a bit of web left on the roll. Just wondering what some more experienced techs are doing for this. Replacing with 5k left on the cleaning web or waiting for the machine to completely shut down.

replacing of course - this pm part is not suppose to run out completely except your customers don't have a problem if the machine gets shut down with an error message.....

Depends what coverage your customer has. If the coverage is high it's normal for the web to deplete faster. If you can obtain 155K from a roller it's a good rate.

Easy Solution - Eliminate the web altogether and replace it with the old style snakeskin oil roller. Lasts just as long and is A LOT easier to change. As detailed in this post:

well if you can respond to the call within 30 mins its ok to wait till it issued a sc 550, but better check it every PM visually and system wise. but if a 5K copies will last for about a week adjust the actual value atleast it will prolong even the web timing.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.
