    Colour skew on 2238

Hi Guys, When i print the colour print test pattern from printer sp mode, the cyan and magenta are askew compared to the black, i have reset mirror motor (sp) and re run line position adjust, it seems like laser related as its skewed on colours only, any ideas?

I recall an adjustment procedure for the 3228/35/45. It calls for printing a certain pattern, using a loupe and following a set procedure. Are you using that?

Yes i have looked at the grid pattern but thats mainly for registration sub and main, this is colur skew, i have dissasembled the lasr and refittted the mirrors and manually wound the mirror motors, this seems to have helped slightly (knocked in transit?)

I have had skew before and have solved it by pulsing the mirror motors 127 pulses either way then running forced line adjust, i think the motors must stick sometimes.

You may want to try a different Transfer Unit to rule it out. We had 1 case recently where one of the Roller Shafts on the Transfer Unit was stalling and caused color misregistration. The Color Registration setup passed setup correctly, so you could only see the color misreg on the copies.

Take the Non-Default Data list. Set all values to default, run line positioning adjustment. This worked for me on an AF3228 after hours and hours of work.
