    DSc424 Frozen display

This machine will make a copy and can even change the quantity but nothing on the LCD works, no responce. Wont respond to 1993 calibrate either.
We have replaced the LCD and LCDC with the new types, replaced the SIB and BICU with no change. Any ideas out there?

Oh God, I'm sorry for you.. This POS machine.

When you say LCD, you also mean the thin membrane that is the Touch part? We pulled one apart one time and the two metal contacts that surround that part were corrode with rust due to some liquid being spilled in there long ago. The Screen was fine as was the touch panel. Was those two metal pieces.

Got an entire console to swap for testing?

Yes, new style installed. I am going out this am, to check all the connections, the only board left is the controller and I cannot see a connection to that.
            Something is missing.

When the tech put the touch panel in, he installed it backwards so that the ribbon cable wasnt making a connection. 10 minute fix.
When I asked him about it, he said "I put it in just like I took it out"
                um humm.
