Dsm 622sp - HD errors

I am getting a list of error codes that either relates to the HD or the software. The list - SC853, 860, 865, 870, 872, 873, 925, 990, 991. I tried reseating all connections and reformating HDD. Cleaned and reseated memory module and still get misc. error codes. I do not work on these often. The customer does not use the scan, print or fax features and I was wondering if I could disable them, some how. If not, I think the solution is to replace the HDD. Thanks for any help.

Try SP5832-1, format the HDD. If this does not work, unplug the Hard Drive. This will leave you with basic copy funtions only but if the machine works will prove that the HDD is the problem.

Gest. Dsm 622sp. I did format the HD and the problems returned. I did unplug the HD and so far is working. I guess I will leave it that way. Thanks for your help.

Think the Hard Drive is needed for the Duplex/Finisher Features though right?

No I did 2 sets of 10 2 - 2. It worked fine.

On second thoughts, may have enough memory to run some sort / duplex jobs, will run out of steam if you try large numbers of originals / magazine mode etc (similar to the MP4000 "B" versions)
