3228c fax forward doesn't work...

Forwarding is turned on in both places and a working address book entry is selected for the destination, but it does not forward or act like forwarding is activated in any way...

Another strange thing is that I can turn 11-6 off and it will still print...

Is all the firmware updated?
If a forwarded fax cannot get to the selected destination, the system after a few tries (about 4 ) will force a print out of the stored information.

Is it forwarding to another fax mach, or a server file?
If its a server file(computer storage) make sure the firewall is off, the file is shared with all permissions,ect... I have had these things solve some probs.also make sure the reciving comp has the correct password and user name, this make a connection possible,to a comp.it has to know where to go.can u see the file in the destination selection?
