    SR4010 jam181

    Hi
we have an MPC7500 and an MPC6000 both with an SR4010 finisher. On longer runs 100+, to the finisher tray both give jam 181 ( shift roller motor sensor error ). Both new machines, have updated f/w, repl. finisher pcb, repl. motors, have swapped shift ay for working one - no joy - any ideas?

These finishers do have problems with the tray lift motors especially on sites that like to do long runs and leave the tray filled up, this seems to put strain on the motor and it gets erratic.

Where did you get this Bulletin? Is England TSC different than US. I looked under Accessories\Finisher and Didn't see that one.

Just by skimmming thru' the tech bulletins on the Ricoh uk TESSA (Tech) site. I'm not even sure if it relates, haven't check where the part is on the finisher, but.........? Good luck!

Hi Chaps - I've tried swapping shift tray lift motor ay - no joy. And the RTB ( ricoh tech. bul. ) refers to the lower limit sensor bracket for the shift tray.

                    SR4010 Jam code 181

Hi Guys, This problem can be for a number of reason, but I would think yours is down to the Height guide sensor being out of position causing erratic operation and intermittent jamming, in your case 181. This does happen on other type of Ricoh finishers and will log a different jam code dependent on the finisher type.
