Savin 8025e showing D006 Product Code

Tried to upgrade firmware on Savin 8025e. Firmware on machine is D006***.
Upgrade firmware is D007**** and machine won't recognize it.
I need to upgrade the firmware to install the HDD address book and set up LDAP.
I am thinking of renaming the file on SD card to D006***, but don't know if it will work and I don't want to screw up the machine if I can get away with it.
Ricoh tech site doesn't even show D006 anywhere, even when I search.
Has anyone else run into this?
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

D006 5931H is the latest version of the firmware. All of the past versions have been D006 also. I dont see any listed as D007.

Well the 8025e is the D007

I checked the Firmware on the TSC. All them say they are for the D007.

But if you look at firmware history you have
        Fax Firmware is

        ver1.00.00

        D0065932A

        July 2006 production

IF you are worried what the files are named then don't. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter long as they are on the SC card properly.

One Firmware file at a time.

The SD card should have nothing on it but Romdata\D007 and your firmware.

Not sure, I work on Ricoh kit in the UK and the D006 firmware relates to the MP3010 series, I'm not sure of the related Savin models.

Firmware for the D006 fax is still v.1000.
I need to update the controller to see the HDD... to accept LDAP.......to make it work on a terminal services LDAP network.
Once again IT never told me it was in this format and expect me to jump through hoops.
If I new the situation beforehand I would have known what firmware it needed and upgraded it at the same time, and this post would have been here 2 weeks ago.
Scan to email works, and printing from my laptop works fine.
Ranting but I need an answer.
              Thanks.

I've updated every MP2510 I service. My SD cards looks like....

                ROMDATA
                D007
                D310

Those two folders were based on whatever was embedded in the zipped file. Funny thing is there isn't a one D007 or D008 file in the bunch. Most of my files are D310s and ....... what the heck here is a directory listing

I wouldn't hesitate to apply these to any MP3010's I come across. This is what I carry along with a set for the MP3500 in my kit.

ps I haven't checked for recent updates as I have a non-standard version of controller software on all the machines in my territory (AFB). I'm a bit leery of compatibility issues between the older controller firmware and newer versions of other firmware.

Here is the printout of the firmware.
I know I put it on the SD card right because I updated a 2238c the day before.
I don't know if I should do the B209, D007 or try to find the D006.
I need to upgrade the system software so it will see the HDD.

As long as you put all matching firmware in the romdata folder on the SD card, the machine will only accept the correct frimware, so if you mix within the folder the machine may not see any!
