    Ricoh Aficio MP2000; error SC500

    Hi guyz,

I have been sent this m/c into my w/shop, with that fault, and haven't the faintest where to start - I work with Canons. So please help with a few details on the fault, and I will start from there! Cheers.

    Resi.

SC 500 is a main motor lock. Make sure that the PCU has a good connection to its drive shafts in the back of the machine and that none of its gears are eaten up if you take the top section (drum) off the lower developer portion.
I also had one do this once when the developer unit was overfilled to the point where it could never turn.
