    waste toner bottle mpc2500/mpc2800

    Hi,

The partnumbers of the waste toner bottle from the mpc2500 is different than the mpc2800. (B223-6542 for the mpc2500, D029-6509 for the mpc2800).
You can use the one from the mpc2800 in the mpc2500 by cutting out some plastic on the back, but I don't know if it should work reversed?
I also don't know if this is the only difference between both and if there is some pricedifference between the two.

    somebody with experience on this?

The only thing i like is that I don't have to take both toner bottles in my car....

    regards,
    froota

For whatever reason, the 2800 bottle is twice the cost of the 2500. Havent tried to jury rig them yet.

Do you not just empty them?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

I vacuumed out a C4500 bottle once. Got that sh** all over the place. Never again

Who would I sell one to I haven't done a chargeable call on a copier for a long time.

Plus dumping is easier than carrying any of them.

Waste boxes on these are engineer change/empty so obviously, the engineer just empties them when they do the 80k PM.

That's also the reason why i don't do it anymore in the field. I replace them and send them to the rebuild of our company. Making a waste toner bottle empty for the 1075 etc. is no problem, but for the mpc serie, no way.
There's still some limit in changing units and consumables i think. It's even not that healthy so if you're stuck while emptying it, and you're in the middle of a nice office and the waste toner is flying around, thx a lot but no way....Give me 1 minute to change it....it's just a little plastic box.

Otherwise it can always be instructive to know what a part costs and if it is replaceable with other ones.....

                  thx,
