    SC672 on 5560C

Hi guys i'm getting a sc672 on a 5560c on power up, i have unplugged all the HDDs, replaced the controller board, BUIC, IOB, motherboard, power supply board. The SC672 is controller stalled, i've reseated all the connectors on boards I haven't replaced. Does anyone have any ideas? or experienced this problem?

    thanks

    OP Panel or harness?

    Bad Ram?

    Remove Option SD cards?

A 672 doesn't have to mean controller stall - it just means the op panel is not receiving any instructions from the machine, hence my suggestion to check the harness. If you rig up just power to the panel and nothing else it will light up and display a 672.

I also had a bad solder joint on the connector cause this - of course replacing the LCDC board would have fixed this if I didn't see it.

Then your stuck with anything that can stall the controller. That's a long list. Misbehaving options, bad SD Cards, bad memory are things you've already tried. Have you actually measured the supply voltages on the controller? a bad connection could do it.

When you swapped boards, what firmware was on them? Mismatched versions would likely give a 990, but I could see a 672 if it was confused enough.

Foul language, obscene hand gestures, and threatening it with a hammer may also help.

thanks Shadow1, foul language was the first thing that came out of my mouth. Thank you for all the great advice but it turned out to be was oxidation on the controller memory modules. Thanks to everyone for giving all the great advice.

But you were probably cursing in English - remember the machine is Japanese and probably didn't understand you.

Ha Ha, I guess I will have to learn some Japanese curse words for the next situation I get. Thanks for your help.
