I agree with Copierdocisleofman - check the PCU belt mark and also clean the sensor. This may well mean a new PCU.
I think it highly unlikely that the sensor is faulty as you would probably be getting an SC code.

The machine either needs a new pcu or the sensor cleaning.

sorry nightfall, no arrogance here fella, just making a point the the first thing to try and clean the sensor before changing it.
All well and good if that doesn't work then by all means I would change the sensor.
Sorry if I offended anybody just trying to help save a bit of time and money after all isn't that what this is all about.

I'd go with the PCU too - try bunging another one in to check. Better still, get somebody else to do it and go on holiday until it's fixed, these machines are nowt but bother.

              Hi,
What does the transfer belt look like? Also, what does the sensor look like? I took the PCU out but am not sure what is what.

              Thanks

Did you check the developer Clutches. Turn them on and off in output mode. had that same problem six months ago and it turned out to be the dev clutches

Have you changed the trans/opc unit? Does the copier have the clip on the white cam?

So a lot of people have gone down the PCU route so far. Have you tried another PCU in it? That would eliminate and awful lot of the machine if you did.
