    Ricoh 2022 "Please Wait"

Replaced HDD and still won't come out of please wait condition
Has print scan and fax installed, but I had to disconnect the hard drive to just get it running.
Is there a fix for this?

Unfortunately I have never done that and am not familiar with the procedure.
Is there a writeup on the procedure and what hardware might be required?
      thanks

Push on the Ricoh logo of the fax unit's battery daughter board.

That is an older model, if I remember right you need the pcmcia memory card to update that one. You first load the Ricoh utility for the card on your pc, the utility is a purchase from Ricoh. Once you have the utility, download the firmware and utility puts it on pcmcia card. Machine off....stick in card in controller....turn on....follow prompts on screen.

Did you remove the fax option and try?

I think you might be on to something because they called back today and said the fax stopped working.

I had a similar problem at loreal, it turned out to be the fax board was no good so I ordered a repaired one from the R&R list problem has been solved since then.
