    DF Jam in 2027

    Hi all,

I have a problem with the DF75 paper scanns through ok then registers a jam at the exit sensor.I did the obvious thing and replaced it but did not fix the problem.Ive ordered the registration sensor but have never had any problems with this model as i see very few.Any other ideas ?
I plan on doing firmware on return visit and order the main board if that dosent fix it am i on the right track?

    Cheers

Did you order AW020141 sensors you need 2 of these
If there is any flag sensors make sure none of the flags are stuck in place
Also make sure the solenoid is working properly and not getting stuck remove the back cover of the adf when running a test and keep an eye on the solenoid, I have had in the past where it gets stuck pulling the white plastic piece
You just got Pwned by an STI

Clean the sensors on the original table of the ADF tray there are two, these get durt on them and do not detect the correct paper size and sometimes the paper goes thru but will detect a jam: the sensor are near the rear end on top of the tray.

Is this running a duplex original through? If so, check that the gate which refeeds the original is moving otherwise it will pop straight out after one pass and chuck up a jam. If this is the case, clean the gate at the rear end thoroughly until it stops sticking.

If on single sided copies, it will be a dirty registration sensor. It is inbetween 2 guides so is quite hard to get at. A pocket opposite the sensor fills up with dust so the machine can't see the end of the paper.

This sounds close, but there is a pad that makes the junction gate that can get sticky as it gets older and doesnt release soon enough to let the paper pass correctly. put a layer of tape over the pad so that the plate doesnt stick. Also the Solinoid could be get a delay in its release.
