2228c fuser issue

Went to this machine on friday for a jam, the fuser belt was really badly torn so one of the lads went in today with a new belt, swithched the machine on and up came sc 542. Cleared that then sc544 came up, cleared that and the trip switch popped, along with a smell of burning. Now I,m going back in 2morrow any ideas please.The thermistors and thermofuse have been checked for resistance/continuity and the lamps.Thanks

Sounds like he put it together wrong, wire touching, etc. Sometimes you just have to go see for yourself.
