We're still dealing with the same problems. Light image density, coated mag rollers - almost no difference compared to the old stuff.

And I agree - high volume seems to force the problems earlier, probably becsue of the higher temperature levels inside the dv unit. But I can't tell my customers that this machine isn't made for using it inside the specification targets - especially if the customers already worked with the previous models (NAD, Adonis etc..).

Mississippi is so poor to begin with, we haven't noticed the recession nearly as much as everyone else.

For us the part replacement and even entire dev unit was not a problem until the recession start, but was no improvement. This was the reason I said either some units are built in a Friday night during a massive drinking event at the plant, either the QC is sleeping sometimes.
Last week I had a call for a 4500 with really light copies. Dev life was 80K, mag roller was completely coated, so I replaced with the new one. REplaced the dev and a completely new PCU unit. Customer just received the new toner type so I readjusted the SP modes involved to their default values as the TB advices. In 5 days customer called back now for background and blotches on pages.
Honest, I never saw a machine overtoning so bad. In the PCU was 3-400 g of toner, cleaning blade was crap. Re dev it and modified back the SP to the values recommended for overtoning. Good part....the new mag roller has no coating on it...so the treatment is improved
