    Fonctional problem MP9000

    Hi,

    I'm having a problem with a MP9000.

While running the machine stops and a window appear and show.

''Fonctional Problem wait for the process and click restart to restart''

Then when I hit restart that machine powers off and on and I'm good for more copies.

I don't know if this is related to my problem but between a couple ''Fonctional problems'' the corona has sparked and a SC300 appeared in the screen. Since then I have changed the 2 blocks and the developer.

I have also got the SC495 which is and obstruction into the toner tubes.
I cleaned them all and restarted the machine. It ran for 3 or 4 hours strait and suddently ''Fonctional problem reapeared. Since then the machine is still running at this very moment.

Let me know if somebody have seen this sort of problem before.

    Thanks

Print off the SMC logging data (SP 5990-004) then post back with what SC codes are listed.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

i have encounterd sc 495 for this model when the operator put a toner for bellini... replacement of grid and corona every 500K as per manual( but cleaning can extend this), cleaning the tubes and the toner suction motor itself(just vacuum it thoroughly), as mention print the SC Logs sp 5990-4. and check all related codes for this problem.... Good Luck Sir.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Rather than the Charge power pack, refurbish the charge units including the endblocks, or order the units complete. Normally caused by discharge through dirt on the blocks. Re the SC495, Is it an early machine? If so check for a kink at the top of the tube leading to the toner pump / hopper, upper left corner at the back of the machine and reroute if required. also, test the motors driving the dev / hopper. I think it's the hopper drive motor (?) that can fail (I can confirm if required) we have fitted quite a few of these.

I also remember the first problem I had on this model, which involved "Spooky" rebooting etc and was caused in part by the memory dimms. I can't remember the make, but we changed them for the Samsung type and the fault went away.
