correct me if i am wrong,
by typing the ipconfig/all, it only show the your own network DNS, that will not help to delivery email to the correct destination.
say for example:
customer has a website name: Company.com
and it ip address for that name is : 66.67.68.69
email address is : info@company.com
so the smtp for that company is : smtp.company.com
and DNS for the company will be : ????

ip config /all is for your internal network DNS.
it's not the smtp.company.com DNS.
anyway why you need the smtp.company.com DNS?
in order for you to resolve hostname or scan to email. you just need to ensure you have your internal DNS enter on the M/C.

if not do a ping to the smtp.company.com & use IP address instead.

nslookup -q=ns companydns.com

Traceroute, Ping, Domain Name Server (DNS) Lookup, WHOIS and choose: DNS Records

You only need to know your internal network DNS information as it is the job of the DNS server to resolve the IP address of the name.

if you need SMTP TCP?IP address then ping the smtp server name
eg: ping smtp10.bellnet.ca
it may fail but will give you IP address

I have found it always best to use the IP address of the SMTP server instead of the name. Network-tools.com lets you lookup the IP address if you know the name of the SMTP server, just enter it, then pick the 'Lookup' option, and it will tell you the IP address.
