Went to a c900 today it was jamming only on letter LEF. Every time it would report fuser exit sensor late for the jam.
Figured it was something with the paper transport belt since every other size is still held by the PTR until it gets to the fuser so maybe the belt wasn't getting the paper to the fuser quick enough.
So we checked out the paper transport belt unit and took it out of the machine. Then noticed the air exits out the back of the machine from the fans on the belt.
We pulled the rear section / controller box out and no more jams.
So then we took the upper cover off the controller box and the air filters were all furry. Vacuumed them off, closed up the controller and made 400 duplexed letter LEF prints.
So think this really fixed it or will I be going back
Even if it still isn't fixed they won't call for a while since they almost never do letter. The other units I have don't run anything on letter they print everything 2 up.
