    3245c dog ear in duplex

I know there's an rtb for this and it's been done, ther is absolutely nothing i can see that would cause this. Single sided copies are perfect so it's definately the duplex, any help please.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

its been a while since i worked on that model but i seem to recall another set of mylar that you couldn't see it's under the plastic guide plate by the reverse roller, may want to remove that guide plate and check the mylar out. Good luck.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Gosh I hope your not in my world of pain, im still having the same kind of issue as I had posted here:

      To recap I have:

Changed all the mylars in the duplex
Swapped in an entire duplext unit from a known good machine
Swapped in a fuser from a known good machine
Swapped in a exit door from a known good machine
Ignored the problem hoping it would go away
Hiden under my desk when the boss enters the workshop.

      All to no avail

But I hope some of the ideas posted there will get help out.

It is usually one of the black plastic fins that gets a crack in it(on the front side). Use the edge of a knife to remove burr. I think this happens when customer has closed duplex too hard.

Considering I just finished rebuilding one of these a few minutes ago, I have to agree with Venom: the plastic fins crack or split after awhile and they have just enough oomph to catch the paper and slow everything down along the paper train so that you get a nice ugly jam.
The best way to find is to run a yellow toner cloth across the black panels, it's thin enough to catch on the burrs. Sanding them down usually works, but in the worst case scenario, you'll end up replacing the covers and all of the little mylars on them. If you do, just order the B1809005 mylars, not the original G3484682 mylars: they never hold up.

When you say you replaced the duplex unit did you just replace the part on the left side of the machine ? Maybe it is a problem with the part below the transfer belt unit ?
