Make sure the thermistors are in good shape i.e no toner buildup on the tips. I would recomend replacing them anyway. Check to make sure that the lamps are good by checking the resistance. If you still have the problem, then I would make sure that the thermostats are not blown. Take them out and shake them lightly. If they rattle, then they are good... if not then the porcelain rod inside has made contact causing the electrical path to be blocked...then they will need to be replaced.

If you need a service manual then there is a dedicated section of this site and they are very reasonably priced.

Try this.....reseting the sc code by using sp7807 then off/on the macine.
if still appear check both of the thermostate.if it alive then the thermister on centre dead.
but if this problem appear after you change the hot roller, that mean the hot roller is too thick compare the previous hot roller.cause the temperature arise slower the before.

One thing I have encountered is after replacing all the components everyone else has listed. I still had intermit. problems. It turned out to be a bad fuser connection at the machine frame.

                Network scanning on 1035

Has anyone been able to network scan off of a Aficio 1035p or 1022 using Desktop Binder?

I tried it with both Windows XP as well as Vista and there appears to be no communication between the copier and the computer.

Is this because it isn't compatible or is it because the firewall the computer is on is blocking it? If it is the firewall, which port numbers need to be opened in order to get it to work?

I've tried using it at different job sites for different customers and not one of them has been able to see the scanner.

I did find this for desktop binder, if it helps. I haven't used desktop binder in quite a while.

Also, Tonerbomb has posted stuff on Vista scanning.

                    Desktop Binder with Ricoh 1022

I'll try this out. I haven't been able to get a 1022 series to do network scanning at all. In fact I have noticed that it recognizes all the print monitor functions but not the scanner. I know that network scanning has always been a problem to run on these machines because Ricoh provided it but it never worked as it was inteneded to do. 2035 series haven't been a problem.

                    Thanks for your help.
