Friends, please help i have Aficio 3224 and its giving a message like"Toner Cartridge-yellow is not properly installed". i have tried to install the toner in & out many times but no result.i have tried to install new toner cartidge-yellow and even new dv unit but the probem still exist.what shall i do.thank you in advance for your help.

Check the contacts on the connector that snaps onto the dev unit. One or more of the contacts may be a little flattened out and not making a good connection. If that doesn't correct it, do a continuity check on the harness between both ends. You may have an open somewhere in it. -
Follow the black wires, they lead to a little pcb which soldering joints are known to go bad. Resolder them.If sometimes you feel a little useless, offended and depressed always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm of hundreds of millions!Comment

I have resolved this before by replacing the dev AND then resetting toner cart sp 7923 for colour involved. I will bet your NEW cart has been upset and will need 7923 cleared.Comment

I have had this same issue with a 2228C, basically same setup. The reason was because the cap that the toner bottle sits down onto was missing because it stuck to the old bottle and got thrown away. There wasnt enough upward pressure to make proper contact with the sensor on the top of the bottle and said it was not seated.Comment

Razor, you're confusing your models. The 3224c is the monstrosity with the 4 dev units stacked on the left side, the large pcu/belt unit that pulls out the front and the "kick me, I'm a piece of crap" sign taped on the front cover.Comment
