Scanrouter Lite Jpeg Settings (can only get tiffs)

    Hello,
I have scanrouter lite setup thanks to this forum and all is working well. I have set up scans to pdf with no issue, but I can't figure out how to get jpegs working. Every type of setup I have tried results in a tiff.

The settings are, save as file..
then in the black/white box there is no place to select jpeg, just all different types of tiffs, and an option to leave format as is..

the greyscale/color box has jpeg and I have selected it, but I am still getting tiffs and not sure why.

Any suggestions? I am probably missing something very simple.
    Thanks,
    Mac

    What model machine is this?

I'm almost positive that you can only scan a color document as a .jpg, and you can't scan color with a bw scanner.

OK, that sounds funny, but you know what I mean...

The model is a Gestetner DSm415

Here are a couple of screenshots of the options I have in scanrouter Lite and how I have them set up currently..

I think Ken's got it. I know that on the Copystar line all the JPEG functions remain grayed out until the color scan function is selected, then the JPEG file type becomes available.

I haven't worked with this ScanGear, but I suspect that it has to be a color scanner to take a JPEG.

        Here's the brochure: http://www.gestetnerusa.com/(All)/BW...2dpi_broch.pdf
There is no mention of Color scanning, or JPEG file type option. I'd have to conclude that it's not available to you. Really, it's not much of a MFP. 1-to-2 sided only? The least they could have done is provided you with a duplexing document feeder. =^..^=

Copies will not scan as JPG unless they are GRAYSCALE. If I recall.
