    MPC6000

    Hello .
I have a MPC6000 giving me a New years task....
SC622. PFB (paper feed board) comms error to VBCU. Intermittent fault
Displayed 6 time yest and twice today. Machine gives error while not doing any thing mode. Turned of sleep mode still does it.
Have checked all wiring between the pcbs can not see any props.
Not that keen on getting a new VBCU in.
OH the machine is new only 5k on the clock.
Any ideas other than getting a new pcb ???

There is an RTB relating to SC622, but it should be old compared to your machine. Relates to engine firmware. I would always update to the latest anyway!

      1.05:01
      Symptom Corrected or Improvement:
      1. Improved the image quality of ACC pattern detection.
      2. The machine does not print if the power is turned ON while the SR4020 front cover is open.
      3. The results of developer setup execution (SP3812) shows "4(Failed)" mistakenly for the color whose developer has not been set up. Actually, the developer setup has not been failed for the color whose developer has not been set up.
      4. An SP error occurs when the Copy Connector Type 3260 is used.
      5. The detection accuracy of SC622 (PFB connection error) was improved.

      Otherwise,

Register the fault with RUK level 1 tech support. ask for a case number!

If level 2 call back and agree to fitting the board you will be able to claim a refund if it doesn't work.

They may attend to see for themselves!

Thank you for your quick advice.
I have updated all the all firmware and waiting to see if it requires Leval 2. Have already got case number and athro to change board.

        Once again
        thank you

this came back in. SC622 was caused by the wiring on the lct tray1 rubbing on the frame. repaired by tapping of the sharp edges on the lct. all is well
