If we do a complete memory clear will it shut off the user account codes so we can get into the machine?

It asks for a code when you first turn it on and no one knows the code and I can't see it on the service report print out, nor can I find out how to reset it in service mode anywhere in the manual.

DOOOON"T DO a Full Memory Clear!!

    SP 5846 - 50
    Initialize All Addr Book
Clears everything (including users codes) in the directory information managed by UCS. However, the accounts and passwords of the system administrators are not deleted.

Though I think this will still require you to have a user code, though now none would be programmed. You don't know how to get into User Tools and Admin settings to turn off Key Operator?

      ...... Trained Tech????

      As it's an "operator adjustment"

      (From memory)

      Log in as admin
(User Tools / key button / "admin" as username / (Password not required) / System Setting / Admin tools / next(?)/ address book management / new program / (input name "Change") Auth info / (Input code) / next / input permissions (Copy / print etc) ok...... logout.

Should give you a new code to use

      If it doesn't work

      Log in as "supervisor"

Reset the admin login if it's changed

      Login as "admin"

Disable user code mode In admin settings

Delete all codes in address book management

      RTFM!!!!!

        OR!

if the machine is networked, browse to the I.P of the machine.

Login (Top Right) as "admin". enter "Address Book" Left of page.

From here you can print the list of codes and add new ones if required.

If someone has changed th admin code, use "supervisor" in usertools as above to reset the admin code.

I repeat... RTFM (If you are trained!)
