2018 Add Toner message
Newish pcu in this machine a swapped toner hopper with known good one from another machine but the messsage wont go away. TB motor is turning and all drive gears are ok, ideas please gents

Newish PCU....interesting.... did you change the drum section only ?
When having this fault i have replaced the gears on the dev roller and replace lower dev assembley plus dev and that fault goes away.

When you look at the toner inlet at the front of the dev unit, is it FULL of toner? If so, it's the mag roller / auger gears in the lower dev unit. Always cover the gears with tape when filling dev to prevent ANY dev getting on them, they may last as little as 30K!Comment

If the dev gears are ok then it may have got stuck in an add toner cycle. I had one once and it would only clear with a memory clear - had to change the dev too.Comment
