Mpc - 7500 new printer/scsnner sd card printer not detecting

Hi

New SD card printer/scanner card not detecting printer option as
on same m/c with old card everthing is working ok.Detecting
printer and printing from network and all other normal.

Is anything to enable printer option in SP mode or over
network if new SD not detect printer over network.

I am again some more tips if i am pinging from m/c it's pinging sucessfully
and when pinging from PC then also pinging sucessfully.From PC
printer showing offline because no printer option displaying over display.

Sounds like you have a bad SD card.

- Print controller is seeing and communicating with network (hince your ping request were returned0
- Older SD card, used in new MFP. If I have this straight, then you just isolated your problem. SD card is the problem.

Well old SD is working perfect with MFP.Only new one and that only not detecting
printer.Of course scanner no problem, scanning ok.
Is any service SP option to enable over SD card to detect printer.

Why are you changing the card?? Has the old card been copied onto the Postscript card and is the old one in the front door?

Can you see the printer and scanner functions in the User tools and Sp mode menu screens?

When you installed the new card, did you disable USB and Printer in SP 5985, reboot the machine, re-enable them then re-boot again? It could be the machine is "Locked" to the previous card.

Have you updated the firmware? I had a spooky one when I commissioned a new MPC6000, set up the printer / scanner, updated the firmware and the machine lost the scan function! Had to reload older firmware to overcome the problem!

it's straight SD card is bad.
In user tools as well in sp mode no printer option displaying.

Diasbled using sp - 5985 NIC and USB and rebooted m/c then enable again.Problem
still persist.

As far firmware updateing is concern my SD is brand new and i didn't updated my firmware
is the same version 1.07 and old sd working ok.

If the old card is working, why do you need to replace it??

The new card may have updated information and so may require newer firmware on the machine to interface with it. As I said, I updated the firmware on a new installtion and lost the scanner option, which indicates the IS an issue with the balance between these options and the firmware level.

There are at least 2 (Engine) upgrades since ver 1.07. If you do upgrade, be careful to read ALL the release notes as there are groups which are installed as a set.

Just had a thought!

Are you trying to COPY the application onto a new SD card to avoid buying an option for another machine?!? If so, it won't work!!

Purchase new option printer/scanner kit. Not trying to copy. Atleast on two occassion i stuckup
while upgrading firmware.So i am little bit narvous.But after reading all release notes.I will later
upgrade firmware. Thanks tcs.

Newest Print/Scanner SD cards will not work if your firmware is not at the latest level. As soon as you will upgrade the firmware of the machine you will have the surprise to see your Print feature on. Scanner is working without the upgrade but Printer does not.
Try it and let us know how it worked.

But... As I mentioned earlier, the LATEST firmware may in fact cause this problem!! Ricoh (UK) have a group of firmware on the TESSA (technical ) site for this machine which is downloadable as one file and WILL work, but does not (Or didn't in November) contain the absolute lastest firmware for all groups. I only found this out when I Phoned them having installed the latest levels at install which caused the problem! (So much for upgrading at installation!!)

Engine v15101, Pinter v110 and System v110 worked for us with the the Print/Scanner cards received in October/December. Now for all units received in Jan 2010 the firmware is already installed from the factory.
