    hi all
    as a firm we have a lot of cl7000 printers out and we we have used non ricoh toner for yrs, but at the moment we seem too be using loads of pcu's and we are only getting 20k or less on each drum and that is any col by the way. any ideas

    For what reason are you replacing the pcu's at 20K instead of 50K?
    If the non-oem toner is making the inside of the machine dirty it may be masking the problem. If you're getting the toner from another source instead of the firm offering the PCUs then maybe thats the reason.
    If you're doing your own service, maybe thats the reason.

      we have too replace the drums cos of pcq's on copies mostly lines or bands of col

        I think it is possible that the toner you are using is coating the charge rollers on the PCUs and that is causing the lines and band. I hardly ever see a PCU of the 38u or CL4000 go less than 50K. You should have a trained technician evaluate your machine.

          I agree with Jomama, the fact that this is occurring on all of your pcu's would lead me to look at the toner as that is the common denominator. Also, if you're doing a high volume of intense graphics with high coverage, that could lead to the same problem.
