Hello,
I got sort of a weird problem on the PCU Type 2015 (used in a 2020 in this case) with one customer and I feel I need some help, input or ideas.
Refit is done by the book. Developer type 28, charge roller, charge roller cleaning roller, drum and balde renewed. Powder applied to blade and drum.
PCU is installed in customers machine and between 10 to 20 working days later the customer calls and has a grey to black streak on the lower end of the printed page. It is between 2 and 4 cm high.
The drum on the back end of the PCU is black too and the surface looks pretty worn. Under the balde you have toner accumulation. The drum is rubbish and so is the blade.
We did that now 4 times with 3 DIFFERENT PCUs and it just happened again - today, 7 working days later, the customer calls it. For this last PCU I got a colleague to do the refit, because I did not trust myself anymore..... Talked to Ricoh as well, but no avail.
Ricoh is not our main business, but I did a few of these PCUs for other customers too and never heard anything back. What am I doing wrong?
We are wasting drums, baldes and other parts on this one machine and I am looking for someone to give me an idea, hint, tip or best case: a solution to this problem.
So, please... anyone experienced with the type 2015 pcu having good ideas, pleeeeaaaase help
Kind regards
Ralf K.
