    Ricoh 2238c

    Hi

Ricoh 2238, making a very loud vibratiing sound, paper jams , just before going towards transfer section, jam indications come up at fuser also even tho the paper doesnt get that far.

on warm up , initially there is that standard startup sounds, but when it trys to intialize the transfer assemblley it makes that vibrating grinding sound, it then stops , as it sometimes it comes and goes,
you can see the shafts of the t belt cleaner slowing down when it starts to jam , but then rotates nicely then jams up again,

some times the noise is continous when it starts to try and copy

    any ideas?

      Hi

update , if the transfer belt cleaning mechanism is removed then vibration stops, when its put back it is intermitent, there is a small lever which pulls the cleaning blade away from the belt and when press the vibration stops , its as though the pressure being applied by the blade causes the machine to vibrate or jam as it slows down

      any ideas?
