AFICIO 2045e with TONER BOTTLE ISSUE

Unit produces about 1000 copies ( 1 K ) and then starts to put the message and red warning " TONER BOTTLE ALMOST EMPTY " followed by " REPLACE TONER BOTTLE " again and again. But the toner bottle has more than 50% toner still in it.
After removing the bottle and replacing it with a new one or installing the same bottle ,"ADD TONER signal comes and it does not clear even after installation of new bottle and unit goes overtoned.
THen I have to do SP 5801 ( MEM ALL CLEAR) .
Once again unit makes about 1 K copies and the game starts .

Please give me some guidance. I am really disturbed by these NRG UNITS ( 1045/2045/3045).and above case is of 2045e.
    THANKS

The only way not to be disturbed by them is to not service them.
Make sure the little door in the pcu is fuly opening.
Make sure the little door in the toner hopper is fully opening
    Replace the toner hopper.

Doesn't SP5801 wipe the TD sensor initial settings data? This is a bad thing!

I'd get the toner density to an acceptable level (visually on a print) then run SP2801 to set up the TD sensor.

Is the dev unit choked with toner?

How many copies has the dev done?

Does the toner bottle turn in output mode?

Are the flappy paddles inside the hopper still attached?

Is the toner path clear for toner to pass through to the dev unit from the hopper (are the shutters open?)

I also seem to remember from back in the mists of time that there was a problem with the door switch beside the fuser unit which could cause some strange toner-out errors. This may have been as far back as the 450 though, so eliminate everything else first.

I agree with these posts. If your toner bottle turns, it probably is the mylars (flappy paddles) in the toner supply unit that have come off. Llama God is right about the memory clear. Now your TD sensor settings are all screwed up which can also cause an "add toner" indication.

You need the part nr.: A232-3230

Its in the hopper unit and responsible to transport the toner, there are some mylars attached to it which are known to go off resulting in this type of error.

With all due respect to my German brother, the p/n is B082-3209. The A232 was an older machine using a different toner bottle but having the same problems that we had then and now. somethings with Ricoh never go away!

Assuming that there isn't a nice flat layer of toner in the dev unit where it has been dropping in and going nowhere of course.

More information required before changing parts, at least that's my humble opinion

As for the mylar flaps I have drilled and screwed a few of those down, works well and they never come off again! At the same time remove the grease on the seal and they stop leaking too.

Superglue works well on the mylar flaps too. Once I glue them back on, they are there for good.
