Lanier vs Ricoh firmwares - Are they the same?

I'm servicing a Lanier LD090 and I'll probably need to reflash it. I've got access to Ricoh firmwares, but I don't have to Lanier ones - are they the same?

No problem, the hardware is all the same. Ex: a "B247" will be the same under any brand name.

Makes it easier on the engineers that way.

Well, just updated this Lanier LD090 with Ricoh firmwares and now all I get is an error SC990 (along with an SC870 in the log). Reflashed everything, formatted HD, downloaded stamp data, all without avail.

Before updating the firmware, the machine didn't present any error.

          Any clues?

          Thanks.

Did you read the release notes, when System firmware update is done you must update BIOS\NIC\LCDC as a set.

              My fault.

When downloading the firmware, I downloaded the versions at the top of the page, assuming they were the most recent ones. As someone's sig on the forum says, "Don't assume assume anything". The firmwares weren't sorted by version, so I ended updating the machine with firmwares that weren't the latest ones.

As soon as I rectified it, all was okay. Thank you all for your time!
