Finisher problems Aficio 1075 (SC 740)

    Hi there

I have problems with finisher SR860 - when machine is turned on there is a paper jam R1-R3 (there is no paper), then we have to open doors and then machine is in READY state. Then we have to make a copy - machine will jam (Q1 - machine has cover tray). After that there is a message SC 740 (we can make booklets but no staples).

    Thanks for help

Make sure the Q1 guide on the Cover inserter is not warped or broken

One of the staplers is jammed, clear it out and it should take care of it. Whenever you initialize any of these Ricoh's and you get a jam in the sorter at power up, check the stapler. You have 3 of them, could be any of them but more than likely from the 740 code, it's one of the two small ones for saddle.

SC740 is a finisher front saddle-stitch stapler motor error.
        Solution:
        • HP sensor defective (check all of the sensors for damage - if damaged replace)
        • Harness disconnected, defective
        • Stapler motor defective (no way to fix motor - replace with a new one) *Run output check to check it out
        • Finisher main board defective (rare but happens)
        • Stapler motor overload (motor can not move because of something stuck inside/outside - check it out visually for any unusual things).
        Hope it helps
