    Scanning issues

    Hey all,
I've got a Gestetner DSM645sp that we can't get to scan to the delivery server. It recognizes the delivery servers ip address and if I perform a search from the machine on the customers network it sees the server just fine. Then thier IT guy programs the folder he wants it to go to but it doesn't update the delivery server. There are no error codes or anything. I did have to perform a memory clear due to some bad boards due to electrical issues
    Any ideas??

When he created the folder and user in ScanRouter, did their IT person suspend services first, and then restart the service after creating the folder? I can't quite recall if that needs to be done, as it's been a while since I've toyed with ScanRouter, but it might be as good a place to start as any.

Make sure that port 3670 is open on the computer running ScanRouter.

I always open it as both a TCP and UDP port, just to make sure.

The alternative is to turn the firewall off, but you won't make many friends that way.

There's a much easier way, just set up scan to email.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

scan to SMB? If you can't get IT on your side you may be stuck. You might need to sweet talk them a little Scanrouter Lite hasn't been supported in forever, and for good reason. It's a pain in the arse.

Have you removed and re-added the device in Scan Router? I've had a few that somehow were still showing up in the PC/server but didn't show up on the device. Give that a whirl.
