    MP6001 "Dead"

Any problems with completely dead machine?

No op panel / power indicators

No led indication on either PSU (Main or CTL)... Main PSU has been replaced(!)

BUT burnt bank of resistors on CTL PSU (Part on order)

All mains supply ok to PSUs.

    NO outputs from either PSU.

    NO 5v supply to BCU

Tested with all trays pulled out, PFB power unplugged, all outputs removed from main PSU (Still no 5v, 12v, 24v, 32v leds on psu)

    Ideas??

Has the mains cable been squished at any point? Might be there's a break on the insulation somewhere. Fit a new cable at the same time as the CTL PSU. Must have been one hell of a bang to take that PSU out. Might be an idea to order a new main PSU to keep on standby.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Mains cable seems OK. One of the guys ordered and replaced the main PSU. Still dead. The mains is OK at all points required on both the main PSU and input to the CTL PSU. One of each now on (Re) order.

I had this and changed both main PSU and CTL PSU. Check fuse on CTL PSU as this was blown.
        good luck

Do you think the main PSU "Took out" the CTL PSU??

              think so.
Does not appear to much in front of the fuse to pop it. I suspect the main PSU is the bad guy.

              Good luck

              nice 1 :-)))

All fuses on both PSUs were ok.

                M/c still working fine now!
