    MP9000 firmware downgrade

Anyone ever have to take a MP9000 with D101 firmware and downgrade to B234 firmware?

    Hi,
It shouldn't be a problem to downgrade as long as you remember to do the system firmware 1st. If you end up with Pro version System and old version engine it will kill the machine and only display "Please Wait"

You may also have to downgrade the LCDC and animation firmware as the screen may react slowly and the Jam animations not work correctly.
    Hope this Helps
    G.

I would order a new system sd card to have on hand when you do it in case there is a problem then the machine won't be down.

        What problem are you having?

I had that issue awhile back with a 9000 that I had to load "custom" firmware to get a Streampunch to work. These newer machines drive system works a little differently than any of the others. They start out slower, for example, at 80 ppm. Then can speed up to say 100 ppm at the end of the job. The resulting average copy speed will be 90ppm, it's just not consistent from the first page to the last. Follow? Yeah, I was confused at first to. Anyway, this custom firmware took that feature out of the machine and the Streampunch ran like a champ.

Was able to downgrade without issue. Had to order the B234 Copy SD card. Inserted new copy card and downgraded system and engine at the same time. Then was able to do all the rest.

The issue was that the shift tray on the finisher was not moving over to offset the completion of each job. This was a feature the customer had before the D101 firmware was loaded.
