What would cause this copier not to tone up. Toner motor is working. Could not find any obstructions blocking toner from going into the developer. Customer added toner because of light copies yet toner light did not come on. I did cleaning ran 10 copies and the toner light came on. Took several times of running for toner light to go out yet copies are still light and toner light comes on after 10 copy run and takes forever to put out.
    Thanks!!!!

Make sure the top of the bottle is getting pulled out when the handle on the toner hopper is pushed down. I have had were the chuck doesn't grab the cap on the bottle.

I agree the toner hopper is generally the primary culprit, but if that checks OK look at the pcu. I've seen the internal auger that delivers the toner from the top opening break. East way to check is to turn the drive gear on the back of the pcu.

Replace the tonerhopper or dismantle it and check the inside for loose plastic blades.... Sometimes they wil come of and block toner to go into the PCU.
I remount the plastic blade with a srew. I believe there is an official servicebulletin from Ricoh as well.......

According to the service manual, it means "call a tech".
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

Your fuser is out of order you have to repair it then reset the error by a special SPmode
If you're a tech you will find out the code if you're not.....too bad

A good practice going forward is to "Reply With Quote" when responding to someone about something that has nothing to do with the original post. That way there is no confusion (the other person shouldn't have hijacked the thread but that's a different topic).
