    Ricoh 2075/Savin 4075 feed units.

After developer has leaked into the feed units has anyone had any success in refurbing the feed units? We have replaced all the one-way bearings but always end up installing new units. This is has been the case in several machines, are we missing something?

First you need to repair the developer unit to stop future leaks. Also vacuume all leaked DV. Before replacing the one-way gears, scrub the shafts with green scrub pads. Replace the one way gear at end of feed roller shaft (has a spring attached to it). That should do the trick!

Yeah, pretty much need to completely disassemble the units and thoroughly clean all bushings and roller shafts of developer besides replacing the one-ways.
Don't take that toner with me!

Took apart gears and cleaned as suggested, improved but no fixed - new 1 ways came in this a.m, replaced all the 1 ways and it now works like it is supposed to. Not sure if it was this on site but someone mentioned replacing dev units at 1 Million, we have started to do this to prevent the dev leakage and the headaches of trying to clean up the machine. Thank you both for the input.

Usually with a good cleaning and new 1-ways you can refurb the units. We are currently replacing all the bushings in the dev units at 1million clicks or at the 3rd pm, which ever comes first.

If changing the one way gears doesn't fix them - forget it and just buy a new unit

              Feed units

I have this problem and here is solution if you do not wont to buy new one way gears:

First you need to repair the developer unit to stop future leaks(replace bushing 4 big and 2 small). Also vacuume all leaked DV.
All one way gears from feed units put in oil(diesel) during the night and after that they will work find.
I know that is dirty job but works perfect.
