jam in duplex unit just when I copy A4 size in simplex

I have Aficio 1075 jam in duplex unit just when I copy A4 size in simplex ( one side) , when I copy in duplex ( 2 side ) or any size smaller than A4 ( e.g B5 ) the is no jam
I find 2 papers in top of each other in the entrance area of the duplex beside the inverter

(Without checking the manual),,,, I think the "resting" postion of the diverter gate in the inverter sends the paper into the duplex. if the solenoid isn't operating or the gate actuator is broken the paper will always enter the duplex and show a jam on single sided copies (from the platen glass)

what jam code does the machine log on the SMC report? SP5990 then select "logging data" and print it out. that will show the "jam codes" and i might be of more assistance!

make sure your paper setting for tray 1 is A4. you have to set this in service mode.
