Do you mean to forward faxes to an email adress? Switch 21 bit 3 only works for forwarding faxes to a network folder, not to an email adress.

This question comes up at least once a week in my office - "Can I forward faxes to email as PDFs?'.

All machines can forward to a folder as a .tiff or .pdf, but a number can't email as a .pdf.

Attached is a screenshot from a document that describes which will and which will not.

While I can't guarantee its accuracy, so far all of the models I've checked have been right.

It has been my experience that faxes forwarded to email will in be in tif format. If forwarded to folder you can specify pdf through a bit switch setting.
