3224C Touch Screen Must be constantly re-calibrated

    Hi Guys,
Have a customer with a 3224C that has to have the touch screen re-calibrated at least once a day as they have to touch the screen to the right of the button they actually want to use. It has gotten steadily worse over the last month or so when the problem started. Is this going to require a new touch screen? If so does anyone have a part number so I get get them a quote to repair.
This machine has only about 4K color and 25K black copies on it.
    Thanks!

There is an RTB out about faulty touch screens (RTB-41, Touch Screen Problem).

      New part number H310 9900.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

I had similar problem on a color copier but it happens only when they shut the copier off then on, we would calibrate it then the next day the touch screen would need calibration again. The lcdc is where the touch screen calibration is stored. You can try and change the touch panel but since its only an input device and the bulletin is for the adhesive of the connector it would not do any damage since its free replacement but if it doesn't work try reloading the firmware for the lcdc and if necessary replace the lcdc board, replacing the lcdc board resolved my problem. Good luck.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

The 3224C has been included in this RTB because it has the same touch screen. Machines also included are some of the wide format stuff too.

Thanks for the info. As I am an independant service guy I do not get the freebie from Ricoh. But I do have 2 1224C models which share a lot of the same parts. Can anyone with access to manuals or knowhow tell me if the ops panel / touch screen / lcdc can be swapped with the 3224C? This customer is a Church with out a lot of money so I am trying to find them a reasonable solution.
Again thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
